City of Port Orchard issued the following announcement on April 3.

This is a revised public notice changing the date and time that the City of Port Orchard will conduct a public hearing on the following project:

Application Type: Shoreline Substantial Development Permit and Shoreline Conditional Use Permit

Applicant: City of Port Orchard, 216 Prospect Street, Port Orchard WA 98366

Date of Application: June 19, 2019 (rev June 25, 2019 and January 24, 2020)

Date of Complete Application: July 23, 2019

Site Description: Location: 1004 Bethel Avenue, 381 Maple Ave, 321 Maple Ave, 200 Maple Ave, and the Maple Ave right-of-way.

Description of Proposal: Conveyance improvements associated with the Well 13 water system, including installation of 3,900 feet of 12” diameter water main, decommissioning the Well 6 facility, and realignment of Maple Avenue to improve roadway safety and stormwater drainage features.

SEPA Threshold Determination: A SEPA Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) was issued for the project on February 28, 2020.

Required Permits: The following local, state, and federal permits/approvals are needed for the proposed project: Shoreline Substantial Development Permit, Shoreline Conditional Use Permit, Land Disturbing Activity Permit, Stormwater Drainage Permit

Applicable Code(s): Port Orchard Municipal Code Title 20, WAC 197-11 SEPA Rules.

THE PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE HELD ON/AT: April 22, 2020, 1:00 PM IN THE ROBERT GEIGER CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS LOCATED AT 216 PROSPECT STREET, PORT ORCHARD, WA

Review of Documents: A copy of the hearing record, including the application and supporting documents, are available for inspection by the public at no cost. A copy of the staff report will be available for inspection at no cost at least seven (7) days prior to the hearing. Copies will be provided at the requestor’s cost.

Comment Period: Any person may appear and provide public testimony or submit written comment until the close of record by the Hearing Examiner.
