Program Overview

Our new District Ambassadors Program is aimed at better connecting our district with those we serve. We invite you to apply for a closer look at how the district operates. Participants will receive in-depth information, resources, and access that will help strengthen relationships and build trust with our community. Graduates of this program will be equipped to act as ambassadors and advocates for CK Schools and to share what they’ve learned with others.

Session Details and Schedule

Those selected for this program will meet at various sites to learn more about the district and the issues and opportunities we face. The program will include information on district leadership, strategic planning, curriculum and student learning, human resources, school finance, facilities and operations, student services, transportation, technology, and more. Sessions will be held on the following days:

  • Wednesday, January 18, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 1, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, April 19, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, May 31, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, June 28, 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Eligibility and Application Process

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Be willing to attend all sessions
  • Have a student who attends CK Schools – OR – live or work within district boundaries
  • Agree to be periodically contacted (in future years) for district status updates, for insight into various issues, and for support in carrying out the district’s strategic plan.

Applications will be reviewed by a committee of district staff who will select up to 15 participants. The application deadline is December 5, and we will notify participants by December 16.
