Kitsap County is joined by Forterra and the Kitsap Forest & Bay Coalition in launching a community fundraising campaign to purchase 756 acres of timber rights in the county’s Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park, preserving important cultural, ecological and recreational resources. 

The aim is to raise $500,000 by Oct. 31.
