Liberty!

Capture the flag provided an educational (and fun) way to simulate battles of the American Revolution for Central Kitsap Middle students. Teachers Ms. Muñoz, Ms. Sujka and Ms. Black changed the rules for each round.

On Monday, students saw how a change in tactics toward the end of the war challenged British forces (in red) as they fought the Continental Army (in blue). General George Washington’s strategy was to focus on defense and avoid large battles. That led to support from France, and eventually the end of the war and the Treaty of Paris (shown with a handshake).
