Kitsap County issued the following announcement on April 17.
The Unforgotten, Run to Tahoma Celebration of Life Ceremony that usually takes place on Memorial Day weekend to honor and escort the unclaimed remains of deceased veterans to the Tahoma National Cemetery is cancelled this year due to the coronavirus outbreak to protect the health of those who participate.
The event will not be rescheduled for 2020.
