Kitsap County issued the following announcement on July 9.
Kitsap County and Port Orchard are growing, especially in areas west of SR 16 near the Sedgwick and Tremont interchanges. With the growth, traffic and demand for parking is increasing in downtown Port Orchard and Bremerton. Kitsap Transit is conducting a study to identify a park and ride location to address this growth. After a thorough analysis with your help and direction, the following two locations have been selected as potential park and ride locations:
Option 1: SW Old Clifton Rd / Lloyd Pkwy
Option 2: Sidney Rd SW / North of SW Sedgwick Rd
Kitsap Transit is looking for feedback from the community on these two park and ride locations. The community’s feedback will be a factor in the final decision of the location of this park and ride.
