Cost of college went up for all students at Northwest College of Art & Design

Tuition and fees rose 8 percent for 2018-19 at Northwest College of Art & Design, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Washington students paid $20,600 to attend the four-year private for-profit institution this year – $1,525 more than the $19,075 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 95 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 16 students received grants or scholarships totaling $138,447 and 15 students took out student loans totaling more than $125,416.

Including all undergraduates (85), 66 students used grants or scholarships totaling $572,808, and 55 students took out $626,570 in federal student loans.
