Road Report for Mar 12 - 18, 2022

Kitsap County recently issued the following announcement on March 11.

South Kitsap

Crews are doing various maintenance activities at the locations listed below. Expect moderate delays between 5 and 10 minutes:

  • Nelson Rd. SE between Peacock Hill Rd SE and Crescent Valley Rd SE (MO-FR)
  • Sidney Rd. SW from Blackjack Rd. SW to Wildwood Rd. SW (MO-FR)
WSDOT Alert - Barrier repair requires daytime lane closure on westbound SR16 in Kitsap County. From 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, March 15-17, Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews will reduce westbound SR 16 to one lane after the Pierce and Kitsap County line at milepost 19. The lane closure allows crews to create a work zone to repair damaged barrier. Motorists using westbound State Route 16 traveling from Gig Harbor to Port Orchard can expect up to 20-minute daytime delays.

Central Kitsap

Intermittent road closures on Bay Shore Drive NW and Washington Avenue NW for Sewer/Stormwater/Road improvement project. 

Crews are doing various maintenance activities at the locations listed below. Expect moderate delays between 5 and 10 minutes:

  • Nels Nelson entire length (MO-TU)
  • Fairgrounds Rd. NE from Central Valley Rd. NE to Old Military Rd. NE (WE-FR)
WSDOT Project Alert: Construction crews working on the SR3 Chico Creek fish barrier removal project. Temporary speed limit reduction to 45mph in both directions on SR3 along one-mile section for the duration of the project. North Kitsap

Crews are doing various maintenance activities at the locations listed below. Expect moderate delays between 5 and 10 minutes:

  • Big Valley Rd NE entire length (MO-FR)
  • NE Paulson Rd between Central Valley Rd NE and Brownsville Hwy NE (MO-FR)
