Students Created a 3d Live-Action Version of "The Last Supper"

Students

Sometimes it takes a little creativity to bring a two-dimensional work of art to life. That is just what Ms. Griffey at North Kitsap High School accomplished with her Art History and AP 2D Design students! After a deep study of the High Renaissance Art period, her students created a 3D live-action version of one of Leonardo da Vinci's most notable works, "The Last Supper". This painting from the 1490s exemplified psychological complexity, the use of perspective for dramatic focus, symbolism, and scientifically accurate detail.

Students worked together to accurately pose the models, and once each group was finished, a student from the photography class photographed the "portrait." It was a fun and unique way for students to meaningfully engage in Renaissance Art. #WeAreNKSD #studentartwork
