This study is a continuation of a series of efforts to advance the North Sound to Olympics (NSTO) Trail feasibility analysis.
In 2011, the North Kitsap community completed an extensive grass-roots process to explore and identify how to link their communities and access parks and open spaces.
This effort resulted in the “String of Pearls” plan, which was adopted by the County Commissioners and incorporated into the County’s Non-Motorized Facility Plan (2013, 18).
