A suspect has been taken into custody after allegedly robbing a man at gunpoint outside a Silverdale bank.
The victim called 911 just after 2:00 this afternoon, saying the suspect walked up to him after he'd gotten cash from an ATM at Chase Bank on Silverdale Way and asked, "can you help a guy out?" The suspect immediately pulled a gun, holding it to the victim's head, demanding cash. The victim handed over the money he had, and the gunman left, getting into a nearby car.
Kitsap Sheriff's Deputies responded and spotted a stolen black Audi the suspect was driving on highway 303 near Brownsville Hwy. The driver was confronted at gunpoint and placed under arrest. He was booked into the Kitsap County Jail, where he will be held awaiting criminal charges.
