One Arrested for Central Kitsap Double Homicide
At 8:45 pm on Sunday night, two people called 911 from inside a residence in the 9000 block of Central Valley Rd claiming that multiple people inside the home had been stabbed and the suspect was still inside. The home is a residence for people who are in recovery for addiction. The callers were able to get out of the residence and provided a detailed description of the suspect.
KCSO Deputies responded and arrived in the area within 4 minutes. As Deputies and a WSP Trooper approached the home on foot, they heard a noise and located the suspect crawling away in the brush near the home, still holding a butcher knife. The Deputy and Trooper were able to detain the suspect immediately without incident.
Additional Deputies arrived and when they searched the house, they found two people dead inside and two others with injuries. Deputies performed emergency medical treatment to the victims while awaiting the arrival of Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue. Medics from CK Fire and Rescue responded and tended to the two injured victims, both men who lived in the residence, each of whom was flown to local trauma centers for treatment of serious, life-threatening injuries.
The two deceased victims are a 51-year-old central Kitsap man and a yet unidentified woman. Both died from homicidal violence and are in the custody of the Kitsap County Coroner, who will ultimately determine the cause and manner of death.
The suspect is a 29-year-old Bellevue man. He was transported to St. Michael’s Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries and then booked into the Kitsap County jail for two counts of 1st Degree Murder and 1st Degree Assault with a Deadly Weapon. There is no bail set.
